Preamble
These terms of service (the “Terms”) govern the commercial, contractual and other legal relationships between the persons defined in the article Definitions that arise in connection with the use of the services offered by the website finsignal.cz.
FinSignal is an information and analytics platform that uses artificial intelligence to process financial news automatically and generate market signals. FinSignal is not a licensed investment adviser within the meaning of Czech Act No. 256/2004 Coll., on Capital Market Undertakings, and does not provide investment advice or investment recommendations.
Definitions
- Server — the web service finsignal.cz (the “Server”) focused on automated processing of financial news, financial health ratings, DCF and valuation, signal generation (AI scores), a historical investment simulator, a watchlist and an AI chat.
- Operator — Ing. Karel Ježík, company ID (IČ): 21329753 (the “Operator”). Registered address: Plickova 880/19, Háje, 149 00 Praha 4, Czech Republic. The Operator is registered in the Czech Trade Register. Contact: info@finsignal.cz.
- User — any natural or legal person using the services of the Server. A Registered User is a User with a user account. A Premium User is a Registered User with a paid subscription (or in an ongoing trial period).
- Consumer — a User who enters into the contract outside the scope of their business activity or independent profession.
- Content — all articles, signals, scores, summaries, charts and AI chat answers generated automatically by the Server using artificial intelligence models.
Nature of the service and liability
The Operator provides a digital service to the extent described on the Server and in the current pricing. Individual analyses may differ depending on the type of asset, the availability of input data and the scope of the chosen plan.
AI-generated content. Texts, signals, scores and answers may be created or supplemented by third-party artificial intelligence models. Outputs are probabilistic, may contain errors, delays or incomplete information, and the User must verify them from independent sources before making any decision. AI analyses and articles are in Czech.
Dependence on third-party services. The Server depends functionally on external services, including: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), OpenAI (generative AI), Google (optional sign-in), Yahoo Finance, Marketaux, Finnhub, Alpha Vantage, CoinGecko (market data), Forpsi (e-mail) and the Czech National Bank (exchange rates). The Operator cannot guarantee the continuous availability, accuracy or speed of these services, or that they remain in their current form.
Scope of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable in particular for:
- the User’s investment decisions, market developments or financial losses arising in connection with the use of information from the Server;
- individual inaccuracies, outdated or incomplete probabilistic AI outputs, provided that the digital service as a whole otherwise conforms to the contract and its description;
- temporary unavailability caused by scheduled maintenance, force majeure or a third-party outage that the Operator could not reasonably influence, without prejudice to the User’s statutory rights arising from defective performance;
- damage caused by misuse of an account resulting from the User’s breach of the duty to protect their login credentials.
For a User who is not a Consumer, any aggregate obligation of the Operator to compensate damage arising in connection with the contract is limited to the amount that User actually paid for Premium in the 12 months before the damage occurred. This limitation does not apply where it cannot be agreed under the law, in particular for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence and for harm to natural human rights.
No provision of these Terms excludes or limits the rights of a Consumer, liability for defects of the digital service or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory legal provisions.
The Operator may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or the law, circumvents paid features, threatens the security of the Server or places an unreasonable load on its infrastructure. Where reasonable in the circumstances, the Operator will first notify the User and give them the opportunity to remedy the situation.
The User and their obligations
- The User must provide only truthful information when registering.
- The User confirms that they are at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to enter into a contract for paid services.
- The User must protect their login credentials and not share them with third parties, and must report any suspicious activity on their account to the Operator.
- The User is responsible for all investment and other decisions made on the basis of the Server’s content. Before any investment decision we recommend consulting a qualified professional (a licensed investment adviser).
- The User must not use the Server for purposes contrary to applicable law or for unlawful purposes (including market manipulation, spreading false information about issuers, sanctions evasion or money laundering).
- The User must not attempt to discover the Server’s source code, disrupt its operation, reverse engineer or decompile it, attempt to hack it, insert malicious software, perform large-scale scraping or carry out any other activity threatening the security, functionality or integrity of the Server.
- The User must not attempt unauthorised access to other accounts or circumvent rate limits, access rights or paid features.
- The User must not claim or create the impression that AI-generated content represents an official investment recommendation, analysis or opinion of the Operator.
- The Operator may delete a user account if the User breaches these Terms or applicable law.
AI-generated content and investment notice
This is not investment advice. The Server’s content (articles, signals, scores, the morning brief, AI chat answers, DCF and valuation outputs, metrics and the historical investment simulator) is purely informative and educational. It is in no way investment advice, an investment recommendation, an offer to buy or sell financial instruments or a public offering of securities within the meaning of Czech Act No. 256/2004 Coll.
Signals are not recommendations. Signal scores (news sentiment, short-term outlook and medium-term stability) are statistical estimates generated by an AI model from publicly available data. They do not take into account the User’s personal financial situation, investment horizon or risk tolerance.
Past performance does not guarantee future results. Historical data, price simulations and model calculations are no guarantee of future returns. Investing in financial markets carries the risk of losing the capital invested.
Duty of own assessment. The User makes every investment decision solely at their own responsibility. We recommend consulting a licensed investment adviser (the Czech National Bank keeps a register at cnb.cz).
Processing of personal data
The Operator processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR and Czech Act No. 110/2019 Coll. Details are set out in the Privacy policy.

Free plan and Premium
The Server offers a public anonymous preview and a free registered account that requires no payment card. The scope of free access, weekly limits on asset details, watchlist capacity and available features are set out in the current pricing.
Premium unlocks the paid analytical features described in the pricing, in particular unlimited asset details and watchlist, advanced filters, signals, the 6 pillars of financial health, the metrics summary, DCF, valuation, management and moat, profitability, custom simulator settings, the AI chat, price alerts and e-mail alerts.
The Operator may change or discontinue free features. During a subscription it may change the paid digital service in particular for security, legal, technical or operational reasons, because of changes in data sources or to improve the service. A change does not increase the price of a period already running. If a change affects a Consumer’s access to or use of the digital service negatively and more than negligibly, the Operator will inform them reasonably in advance and grant the rights required by law, including the option to terminate the contract where applicable.
Price, trial period and automatic renewal
Payments for the Premium subscription are processed by the payment gateway Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.. The Operator does not store full payment card details; the User enters them in Stripe’s secure environment.
Current prices: monthly plan CZK 499 / month, yearly plan CZK 4,490 / year (25 % saving compared with monthly); prices are in Czech crowns. The Operator is not a VAT payer. The exact amount, currency and period shown in Stripe Checkout immediately before confirming the order are decisive.
14-day trial period. The first Premium subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. It is activated only by completing Stripe Checkout and entering a payment method; registration alone, without a card, is free and does not start Premium. Stripe shows the exact end of the trial and the following amount before confirmation. When the trial ends (typically on the 15th calendar day), the price of the chosen plan is charged automatically.
One trial per person. The free trial can be used once. If the User has used it before, including on another account, with the same e-mail address or the same payment card, the subscription starts without a trial and the price of the chosen plan is charged immediately. Stripe Checkout shows this before the order is confirmed. If the Operator only discovers repeated use after it has started, it may end the trial, whereupon the subscription becomes paid.
Features during the trial. The trial gives access to Premium features, with limits on features with higher running costs: during the trial the AI chat answers at most 5 questions a day and 20 in total, the AI portfolio review can be run once, the portfolio holds at most 10 positions and the AI selection shows the companies outside the top five places. A paid subscription has higher limits (AI chat 50 questions a day and 300 a month, the AI portfolio review twice per 24 hours). Current limits are listed in the pricing.
Ending the trial early. The user may end the trial at any time and pay for the subscription immediately. The amount and the date of the next payment are shown before confirming. The remaining trial days lapse and the new billing period starts on the day of payment. Paid limits apply once the payment is confirmed; usage during the trial does not count towards them. If the payment does not go through, the trial continues unchanged.
Automatic renewal. Unless the User cancels, the subscription renews automatically for the same period (month or year) after the trial and after each billing period, and Stripe charges the relevant price to the stored payment method.
Cancelling the subscription. The User can cancel the subscription at any time in the Account section through the Stripe customer portal. If it is cancelled before the exact end of the trial, the first payment is not made. After payment, cancellation only stops the next renewal; Premium remains active until the end of the period already paid. The unused part of a paid period is not refunded on ordinary cancellation because of a change of mind, unless the conditions of statutory withdrawal, a justified complaint or another obligation to refund are met.
Price changes. A new price does not apply to a period already paid. The User will be informed of a price change for the next renewal reasonably in advance and may cancel the subscription before it takes effect. Where the law requires explicit consent, the change will not take effect without it.
Receipts and failed payments. Stripe makes payment receipts and payment history available electronically. If a payment fails, Stripe may retry the charge and the Operator may suspend Premium after a reasonable period or switch the account to free access. Accounting and payment records are kept for the period required by law.
Withdrawal within 14 days
A Consumer who concludes a contract at a distance may withdraw from it without giving a reason within 14 days of its conclusion, to the extent provided by law. The Premium contract is concluded by completing Stripe Checkout and activating the trial (or by the first payment if there is no trial), not at the end of the trial. Where the subscription includes a free 14-day trial, the trial covers the standard withdrawal period and also allows the subscription to be cancelled before it ends without any payment. Without a trial, the statutory right of withdrawal remains unchanged.
To exercise statutory withdrawal, the Consumer must send an unambiguous statement to info@finsignal.cz or to the Operator’s registered address before the period expires. Merely cancelling the next renewal in the customer portal is treated as an ordinary end of the subscription at the end of the trial or paid period; a Consumer who wishes to exercise statutory withdrawal with immediate effect should say so explicitly in the statement.
Where the transition from the free trial to the paid period and the price of further performance were clearly communicated before the contract was concluded, neither the first charge nor an ordinary automatic renewal starts a new, separate 14-day withdrawal period. This is without prejudice to the rights of a Consumer who was not properly informed, or to rights arising from defective performance.
Beyond the law, the Operator offers no voluntary refund guarantee after the trial ends merely because the User forgot to cancel, did not use the service or changed their mind. Such a request will be assessed individually but does not in itself give rise to a refund.
If withdrawal is effective and money must be returned, the Operator will return it without undue delay, at the latest within the period set by law, usually by the same means of payment. After withdrawal, Premium access may be ended immediately.
Model withdrawal form
The form is not mandatory; withdrawal can be made by any unambiguous statement. To make handling easier, you can use this template:
To: Ing. Karel Ježík, Plickova 880/19, Háje, 149 00 Praha 4, info@finsignal.cz
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from the FinSignal Premium subscription contract concluded on [date] for the account [account e-mail].

Complaints about the digital service
The Operator is responsible to the Consumer for Premium conforming, for the duration of the commitment, to the contract, to the description in the pricing and to the characteristics that can reasonably be expected given the nature of the service. Complaints may concern in particular substantial or repeated unavailability of paid features, a missing paid feature or another non-conformity of the digital service with the contract.
A single inaccurate, incomplete, delayed or, for the User, unsatisfactory AI output, disagreement with a particular score, model, valuation, DCF calculation or signal, or an investment result is generally not in itself a defect, because the User is informed in advance of the probabilistic and informative nature of the outputs. This does not exclude a complaint where the service consistently or substantially fails to deliver characteristics that were expressly agreed or presented.
When assessing a complaint, the Operator distinguishes whether it concerns a technical defect of the service (for example Premium access not activated after payment, a feature crashing repeatedly, or a currency or value displayed incorrectly because of a Server error), unavailability or non-conformity with the description of the service, a problem caused by a third party (in particular an outage or incorrect data from an external source), or a characteristic resulting from the nature of AI-generated content, which is not a defect.
A complaint can be made by e-mail to info@finsignal.cz or in writing at the Operator’s registered address. To speed up handling, please state the account e-mail, a description of the defect, when it occurred, the browser or device used and the requested remedy. Omitting any of these details does not in itself prevent the complaint if it can otherwise be assessed.
On receiving a complaint, the Operator will confirm its receipt, content and the requested remedy. It will resolve a Consumer’s complaint and send information on the outcome within 30 days at the latest, unless the parties agree on a longer period.
The Consumer is primarily entitled to have the defect remedied, unless this is impossible or disproportionately costly. Remedying a defect means in particular restoring or activating paid access, fixing a technical error, regenerating an output after a technical processing failure, updating incorrectly loaded data on the Operator’s side or providing an alternative solution. If the defect is not remedied within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, recurs, the Operator refuses to remedy it, or it is a material breach of contract, the Consumer may request a reasonable price reduction or, in cases provided by law, withdraw from the contract.
If, in connection with a complaint, a withdrawal or voluntarily, the Operator refunds the User the full price paid for the period concerned and ends the relevant access, the User’s monetary claim on the same ground and for the same period is deemed satisfied and cannot be raised again. Other statutory rights of the Consumer are not affected.
A problem caused solely by the User’s unsupported or outdated device or browser, their internet connection, failure to follow instructions or failure to install an announced necessary update is not a defect. A brief isolated outage, scheduled maintenance or the outage of a single data source is assessed according to its actual impact on the paid service; statutory rights cannot be excluded in advance by a fixed number of hours or days.
Conclusion of the contract
The Premium contract is concluded by completing Stripe Checkout, confirming the order with an obligation of future payment and activating the trial. Before completing the order the User confirms acceptance of the current version of the Terms, and Stripe shows the chosen period, the length of the trial, the time of the first payment and the amount charged.
Details of the accepted version of the Terms are stored with the Stripe Checkout record. The contract is concluded in the Czech language; this English text is an informative translation. The User can view and save the Terms from this page; subscription details and available payment receipts are made available electronically in the Account, in Stripe or sent to the e-mail address linked to the Account.
The Operator may refuse an order or terminate the contract if the service cannot be provided, a payment instrument has been misused, the User circumvents the Server’s restrictions or seriously breaches the Terms. If the Operator ends an already paid service before the end of the period without any breach by the User, it will refund the proportionate part of the price, unless the law requires a more favourable solution.
Intellectual property
AI-generated content on the Server (articles, signals, summaries, morning briefs) is the result of automated processing of publicly available data. The User may use this content for personal (non-commercial) purposes. Bulk copying, scraping, redistribution or commercial use of the Server’s content without the Operator’s written consent is prohibited.
The User acknowledges that source news, quotes and market data come from third parties (for example Marketaux, Finnhub, Yahoo Finance, GDELT, Alpha Vantage, CoinGecko, the Czech National Bank, the press services Business Wire, PR Newswire and GlobeNewswire, publicly available news channels of Czech and foreign media and many others). The Operator does not republish source news in full but processes and summarises it independently in its own words. Rights to the original sources remain with their owners. Third-party names and trademarks serve only to indicate the origin of the data; the Operator is not commercially affiliated with their owners, who do not endorse or approve the Server’s content. If the User identifies a possible infringement of rights in the content, they can report it to info@finsignal.cz; the notice should identify the protected work, the URL concerned and explain the claim.
Final provisions
These Terms take effect on the date stated in their header. Free use of the Server is governed by the version published at the time of use. For Premium, the User accepts the Terms by actively confirming them before starting Stripe Checkout.
The Operator may change the Terms for legal, security, technical or operational reasons or in connection with a change of the service. It will inform the User reasonably in advance of a change that substantially affects an ongoing Premium subscription. A change does not take away rights a Consumer has already acquired, and where the law requires explicit consent or a right to terminate the contract, the Operator will allow it.
Matters not governed by these Terms are governed by Czech law, in particular Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, and Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection. The choice of Czech law does not deprive a Consumer of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country of their habitual residence, where applicable. Disputes are resolved by the courts with subject-matter and territorial jurisdiction.
A Consumer may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority as the body for out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes. The application is usually filed within 1 year of first raising the claim with the Operator; details are at coi.gov.cz.
For any questions, complaints or suggestions, contact the Operator at info@finsignal.cz.
